Digital Microplan

Immunization programme — health-facility-level microplanning

Routine immunization microplanning, digitized: health facility and vaccination-centre catchments on a live map, DHIS2-style data entry from the standard microplan template, a review-and-approval workflow from the health facility upwards, and direct data push into DHIS2.

🗺 Spatial layers

Health facilities with their catchments, vaccination centres one level below with population targets, plus schools, cold chain points and hard-to-reach communities — editable with GIS tools (draw, vertex edit, split, merge, snap).

📋 Microplan forms

The national HF microplan template becomes survey forms for data entry: monthly progress, vaccine ledger, cold chain, sessions, high-risk areas — with coverage, dropout and forecasts computed automatically.

🔀 Review workflow

The health facility drafts and submits, the level above reviews and approves — and that approval closes the plan. The higher levels follow the results and can return a plan for correction, with comments and a full audit trail on the annual planning calendar.

🔗 DHIS2

Planned for closer integration with the DHIS2 platform to push straight into the national DHIS2 instance — no re-entry.

⬆ Load a vector layer
Zipped shapefile (.zip with .shp, .dbf, .prj), a zipped ESRI file geodatabase (.gdb folder inside the .zip — every feature class becomes its own layer), GeoPackage (.gpkg) or GeoJSON. Any projection — reprojected to WGS84 on import. Uploaded layers appear in the Map tab's layer list.
🗺 Raster data · add a grid — land cover, terrain, population, friction or anything else. Uploaded rasters are listed with everything else under 🗂 All layers
A GeoTIFF with a coordinate system. Rasters are stored as files rather than in the database — a national grid is far too big for a table. What it is only decides where the raster is offered: an accessibility analysis reads land cover, and optionally terrain and population.
+ Create a new layer
Creates an empty point / line / polygon layer with your fields. On the Map tab, activate it and use “Draw feature” to digitize.
